NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2004--Amerada Hess Corporation (NYSE: AHC) announced today that Robert J. Vogel has been named Vice President and Treasurer of the Corporation, effective October 1, 2004. Mr. Vogel replaces Gerald A. Jamin, who will retire from Amerada Hess after 35 years of distinguished service. During his 15 years with the Corporation, Mr. Vogel has served as an Assistant Treasurer and in various other financial and managerial positions.
