Hess Corporation Donates $1 Million to Haiti Earthquake Relief

NEW YORK, Jan 18, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) announced today it has donated $1 million to Haiti earthquake relief efforts.

"We are deeply concerned about the people suffering from the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti," said John Hess, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Hess Corporation. "To help provide medical care, shelter, water and other essential supplies, we are donating $1 million to the following outstanding organizations that are on the ground in Haiti providing critical aid: $500,000 to the International Medical Corps; $250,000 to UNICEF; and $250,000 to the International Rescue Committee."

In addition, Hess has offered a matching gift program for employees who wish to make a personal contribution to these relief organizations.
