Amerada Hess Corporation (NYSE: AHC) announced today that it will host a meeting
and conference call for investors, analysts and the media on Tuesday, November
7, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. New York time to discuss the proposed acquisition of LASMO
plc (LSE: LSMR) by Amerada Hess.
The meeting will be held in the Beekman Room on the 18th floor of the Waldorf
Astoria Hotel at 301 Park Avenue, New York, NY (between 49th and 50th Streets).
Please use the Lexington Avenue entrance to arrive at the appropriate elevator
bank.
