Chief Financial Officer, Hess Midstream
Jonathan Stein is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning and Chief Risk Officer for Hess Corporation, a leading global independent energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hess Midstream LP (NYSE: HESM), a midstream company that owns high-quality infrastructure located in the core of the Bakken servicing Hess and third parties.
Since joining Hess in 2001, Stein has been responsible for a number of finance functions and processes including enterprise risk and risk controls. He was named CFO for Hess Midstream in 2014 and held a leadership role in the formation of the Hess Midstream business entity and subsequent initial public offering.
Prior to joining Hess, Stein was a consultant with Ernst & Young’s Risk Management and Regulatory Practice where he assisted financial services and energy trading clients in establishing their risk management infrastructure including derivative valuation and regulatory risk capital models.
Stein holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
